The Coordinator position works collaboratively with stakeholders across Midland College to support the effective, student-first administration of Testing Services under the Instructional Support Services division. This position coordinates activities for test administration and proctoring services college-wide and assists with the coordination and scheduling of testing services in collaboration with high school partners, Midland College instructional departments, and in support of GED, licensure, and other entrance exams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree; or Associate’s Degree (or equivalent – 60 college credit hours) and a minimum of two years of relevant administrative experience that includes demonstrated work experience with detail-oriented tasks of a significant nature
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the College’s mission and the needs of students and a passion for helping students realize their educational goals
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Strong interpersonal communication competence, both written and oral
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively with multiple priorities
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as business needs dictate
- Excellent record-keeping skills
- Ability to take feedback from manager through coaching sessions and then generate positive results
- Exemplary computer proficiency, including email, internet, and Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in an institution of higher education
- Testing administration experience
Essential Functions
- Provide leadership for Midland College Testing Services
- Prepare, schedule, and administer tests
- Develop and maintain testing procedures for the administration of exams and maintenance of test security
- Maintain accurate, secure test records and reports
- Maintain currency with changing technologies in testing platforms and procedures and provide recommendations to college leadership for updates to equipment, policies, and procedures as needed
- Maintain certifications required for proctoring or administering a variety of tests
- Provide testing services to meet the needs of students, faculty, and the community
- Participate in the hiring and training of Testing Services staff
- Coordinate with high school partners to provide support for test administration of the ACT and SAT
- Supervise all data entry in the student information system related to testing
- Keep Midland College informed of all State testing requirements
- Compile formal reports of testing services activities on an ongoing basis
- Maintain accurate and updated information on the website and serve as a point of contact for testing services
- Monitor and respond to testing services inquiries
- Manage the functions and operations of the Testing Center and, more broadly, Testing Services college-wide
- Other duties as assigned

- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
